All sessions and classes at Topirum Primary School follow the structure of our whole-school instructional model. The model combines explicit teaching and high impact teaching strategies. Having a consistent instructional model allows school leaders, teachers and students to have a shared understanding of teaching and learning practices and ensures a common language to discuss learning progress and achievement. It guides students and teachers through the learning process, while still allowing for individual learning and teaching styles in the classroom.

The Topirum Primary School instructional model is implemented across all learning areas for consistent and collaborative instruction.  It is designed to structure each lesson into a series of learning stages, to enrich the learning experiences for all students and to differentiate the teaching to cater for the diverse range of students in every class.
